As soon as you start bird watching, you become more aware of your surroundings. Even while driving to work, I tend to look more on the side of the road for a Swallow or Black-shouldered Kite. Nature is wonderful...everything. The way summer calls a swallow, the selection of the delicate colours of a Lilac-Breasted Roller or the mystifying appearance of a Marsh Owl. This blogspot will hopefully make more people aware of nature and the creatures living in it.

Hi Luzelle! My name is Jaco Mostert- I am a journalist at the Centurion News (www.centurionnews.co.za). I have been thinking of doing a nice feature article for the newspaper about birding in Centurion. Since it seems that you are quite the bird enthusiast I would love to meet up with you to discuss the topic.
Now, this is where it gets a bit dodgy: How do you know that I am not a crook? Well, phone the offices of the Centurion News: 012 348 6571 and ask to speak to me. My email address is: jpcmostert@centurionnews.com.
I WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE IT IF YOU GET IN CONTACT WITH ME, SINCE IT WOULD MAKE A VERY NICE ARTICLE! PLEASE!
